Case Managers - Canterbury Region

Full Time, Fixed Term / Secondment (various lengths 6 to 18 months)

We are an essential service and as part of our COVID-19 response we have opportunities for motivated, adaptable, proactive candidates to join our team.

These roles will initially focus on providing proactive employment support to clients and may include hardship and other assistance as business demands require.

This is a great entry level opportunity into the Ministry of Social Development. Suitable for new graduates or people with an interest in delivering high quality service to clients in vulnerable situations. We provide comprehensive training and on-going coaching to ensure you feel supported and setup for success.

About you

You are pragmatic and enjoy dealing with people from all backgrounds. You remain calm under pressure and quickly find solutions to problems. Your welcoming approach and manāakitanga with our people will enable you to know them, understand how to best support them, and work with them to meet their needs. You treat people with care and show empathy for those in vulnerable positions. You understand the importance of employment and what a good CV looks like. You know how to find jobs in the local labour market and are excited to share these insights with others. You’ll bring a high level of personal integrity and initiative to the role and be comfortable using computer systems.
