Wilson and Pickett Properties, LLC is a new company dedicated to meeting a perennial need: affordable housing for low income families. Founders Kwame Wilson and Brent Pickett firmly believe that stable housing leads to flourishing neighborhoods and sustainable communities. They are keenly aware that lack of affordable housing leads to crumbling communities and a myriad of associated problems.
Wilson and Pickett are committed to being part of the solution to the difficulty families experience when trying to find housing they can afford. They know this problem is not restricted to one area, to that end they have properties in Birmingham,AL, Brooklyn, NY, Atlanta, GA and Norfolk, VA.
According to the National Housing Institute “Having a place to call home-a place to feel secure-is foundational. A decent place to live creates stability, launching families into a promising cycle of possibilities and progress. And stable communities also help to build a stronger economy.” Kwame Wilson and Brent Pickett agree wholeheartedly.
Wilson and Pickett have roots in the south and backgrounds in working for social change. The military brought them together in Virginia. Their shared values and abiding interests in the importance of strong communities led to the founding of their company in Alabama.
